We are unbelievably stoked to be doing ATP Matt Groening I grew up making sure to be at home 8 pm sunday nights (i guess i didn't have anywhere to be when i was 10) to watch EVERY EPISODE of the simpsons...semi related....i was looking through some photos and i found this one, a sort of reminder to myself to look into getting Gary Larson of the Far Side comics to do something with us...so If you know or work for Gary Larson let him know Ponytail is interested in having him do album art...!?

My Friend Michael Petruzzo is visiting from New York this week. Mike played in Ponytail for the first 11 months of our existence. The combination of his keyboard playing and molly's voice coming from one sound source made a lot of people think we were electronics wizards. I think that principal has stuck with us even as our noise tendencies have mellowed. Anyway, Mike is here and getting me pumped on a book that he is making based on a photo series he completed in the fall. He has asked me to contribute text to the project, which i said yes to immediately, but it's become daunting because of how good these photos and the shear amount of imagery already present. The scene pretty much looks something like this - the rolling stones protected by a group of hells angels rolling into a village of native americans who are trying to protect their diamonds all played by children. I pretty much draw a blank, but i always think of this story another friend Chip Hughes told me about meeting mick jagger...or rather seeing him in a book store shopping for the holidays. The clerk is helping jagger pick out books based on what he bought the last time he was there (which of course the clerk remembers because its MICK JAGGER, though jagger doesnt seem to remember that he has shopped there before at all...

well for starters we demo'ddd some new songs and we are all really siked on that, 2 I built this neet little drum pad that helps me control some looooopppppssss! 3 I feel crazy lucky that I was asked back to play drums with the boredoms! Which will also be my first journey into the far east! FAR OUT!

Today i was telling someone about the video our friend Mikey made for Beg Waves awhile back. So I just looked it up on youtube, and noticed...like an extreme amount of funny negative comments, and i was just like thats weird???? most people who seek out a band on youtube...well seek them out, y'know? so then i read down a little and it looks like this popular comedy site was critical of us, which made for this mixture of traffic. anyway, i think it would be cool if this guy only wrote about things he sincerely liked, it seems like he is into some Black Metal, he should interview Xasthur, I would love to read that! here is the Liiiiinnnk, and here is a photo i took that i think is funny, Yoshimi of boredoms and Zach hill in line for starbucks...what an experimental starbucks!

My housemates raise bees in the backyard, but a few days ago they noticed a lot of dead bees on the ground, so we took a peek inside and they had all gone! they left some honey which is good, but this very strange, more on this as the case unfolds. Also we are going back on tour in 10 days, it will be our first USA headlining tour. I'm nervous and excited!
